Waters of Grace - Exploring the Power of Baptism

Sermon Series | September 7, 14, 21

The river Jordan, muddy, small and winding, bustled with activity as people lined up and pressed forward because in those waters of grace their sins, failures, mistakes and guilt were washed off of them, and carried down the river, away, into the depths where they dissolve, and then the Christ stepped forward…

The scripture is rich with imagery, baptism is for the washing away of sins in the waters of grace, for the dying and rising to a new life in Christ, for the incorporation into the body of Christ, which is the church, and for the proclamation of the reign of God. Whether you have been baptized, or are thinking about it, or want someone you love to understand it, this series will help you reflect on what it means to give your life to God in the act of baptism.
